Artists may work from a sketch as a starting point, but are not permitted to simply reproduce an image. Rather, they are required to create hand-drawn color separations on translucent mylar sheets which are subsequently exposed to the aluminum printing plate. Artists select colors, supervise proofing and sign authenticity forms and publication/ pricing agreements immediately after completing an edition. The standard edition is limited to 100 and 20 artist proofs, split equally between artists and Brandywine Workshop.
